My review of PhotoArchiver

I want to use this program for my genealogy files. I probably have over 10,000 images, from family photos to pictures of tombstones. I wanted a program that I could relate files through keywords or categories, could handle removable media (CD/DVD), and could generate a web page from a key word (categories). This program seems to do all of the above.
Downside:
Web page generation needs to be updated. Maybe include more stylesheets to choose from. Also, I would get rid of the category selection in the web page generation, and just assume that whatever images are on the screen at that time, you want in a web page.
The interface reminds of some of the shareware programs from the 80's. Functional but not very stylish. The category selection box either needs to be be a drop down with the "Display All" happening as part of the selection, or a multiple selection bos with the "Display All"
Wishlist: Some of these are out there, but then again it is a wish.
I would like to be a able to generate a web page from more than one keyword. So in my genealogy case, I would have a list of names (categories) down the left side and exhibits would appear on the right as a name, or names, are selected.
Could you make an explorer interface, that you would select a directory and all of the keywords would apppear, and then select a keyword and all of the exhibits would appear as if the files were in that directory.

Lastly, I noticed this program has not been updated in a while, but there is another program available, PixFiler, which looks and acts identical to PhotoArchiver. I downloaded this as well, and does seem to even recignize that PhotoArchiveer is there, so none of my data moved to the new program. So which should I have, the PhotoArchiver, or the newer one, PixFiler, and will I be able to migrate data between the old program and new.
